Mike McDonald, Vice President

Mike McDonald had more than 10 years experience in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America movement prior to joining DNS Associates. Mike was a Regional Service Director, responsible for providing Boards of Directors and executive professionals the support they needed to grow the organizational capacity of 39 Boys & Girls Clubs. As part of the southeast team, Mike developed expertise in strategic planning, board development, and organizational development.

Previously, Mike was an Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carteret County. During his first hundred days as Executive Director Mike renovated an abandoned gym and built a program that served 100 children per day.

Mike began his career as Smart Moves Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County. Several months later he was promoted to Unit Director where he was responsible for a program that served 300 children per day in a 35,000 square foot facility.

Mike graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 1990. He later received a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies specializing in Teaching Social Studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
