Sandra L. Morningstar, Senior Research Associate
Sandra L. Morningstar joined DNS in the fall of 2012. Her primary role is foundation, donor and corporate giving research. Sandra has displayed exceptional talent in using the myriad research tools that DNS subscribes to annually to fully research all potential sources of revenue for the agencies with which DNS works. Her ability to get information not readily available by simple web searches has made a significant difference in increasing support from prospects based on developing a giving potential based on fact rather than guess work.
Sandra is also a registered nurse and has worked in a number of hospitals in the Indianapolis area. She is currently completing her bachelor’s degree at IUPUI. Sandra resides in Shelbyville, IN with her husband Craig, a captain in the fire service, and three children Tawni, Cameron and Jacob.
Susanne Kenney, Senior Associate
Susanne Kenney joined DNS 10 years ago and then left to raise her two daughters. With her children now growing and entering high school Susanne has rejoined the DNS Team in the areas of planning, Annual Campaign oversight, support and development. Susanne is an excellent trainer and works with organizations DNS serves to develop annual campaigns, resource development plans and marketing of their programs and services. Susanne has extensive experience in working with nonprofits and has a broad based background in working in early childhood education and youth programming. Susanne brings a new dimension to organizations DNS works with that have early childhood education, head start and school readiness programs and services. Susanne and her husband Kevin live in Trumbull, CT with their two daughters Megan and Erin.
Joseph Andrianna, Senior Associates:
The newest member of the DNS team, Joe Andreana is one of those fortunate individuals that have been able to convert a “passion into a position”. His association with the Boys & Girls Clubs in Connecticut goes back to 1965 when he joined the then “Shelton-Derby Boys Club” as a member of their Board of Directors. Since 2004 until his retirement in 2012, Joe served as the Executive Director of the Connecticut Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs, Inc; a 501 (c) (4) organization missioned to seek out governmental dollars (both state and federal) to help fund the 16 BGC organizations that operate some 50 separate facilities in Connecticut and serve some 60,000 Connecticut youth. Over the eight years of his leadership, the CT Alliance generated over $20M in state and federal grants and direct appropriations. The Alliance also played a major role in securing some $5.5M in capital bonding grants to assist the construction of six new BGC facilities.
In addition to holding several corporate management positions in the telecommunications industry, Joe has brought his management and leadership style to the Board of Directors for Griffin Health Services Corporation, serving as the Chair of GHSC’s Strategic Affairs Committee. Joe has resided in Oxford CT since 1973 with his wife, Patricia. Pat and Joe have a son, Michael, a partner with the law firm of Pullman & Comley, LLC and a daughter, Melissa, a school administrator in Moorestown, NJ.
Debbie Ramsey, Senior Vice President
Having served over 6 years on the Board of Directors at the Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces, NM, two years as the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of El Paso Foundation, and then eight years as a Regional Service Director of Development on the National Staff of Boys & Girls Club of America, Debbie brings unique and diverse experience to the DNS Team.
As the Regional Service Director of Development for the Southwest Region, Debbie assisted organizations in an 8-state region in planning, developing, and implementing their resource development strategies and campaigns. She also developed and provided executive training opportunities that contributed to the recruitment, orientation, and cultivation of volunteers that serve on nonprofit Boards of Directors.
Prior to joining DNS, she was Executive Director for “The Whole Enchilada Fiesta, Inc.”, an acclaimed special event that has been recognized by the International Festivals and Events Association and holds a record in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Fiesta attracts over 100,000 visitors from all 50 states and many international countries.
